Do You Suspect Child Abuse?

If you suspect a child is being abused, call Childline at 1-800-932-0313. This Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare hotline is open 24 hours a days, 7 days a week, and the information you provide is sent to the local Office of Children and Youth to investigate. In addition to calling Childline, if you need immediate local intervention, call Erie County’s Office of Children and Youth at 814-451-6600. How Does the Children’s Advocacy Center get Involved with Children?

The CAC interviews children that are referred by the Office of Children and Youth or law enforcement. The Center does not accept direct referrals from parents or social service organizations.

Do You Need Sexual Assault Counseling?

The Crime Victim Center of Erie County provides free, confidential counseling to adult and child victims of sexual assault. The Center is located in Erie with satellite offices throughout Erie County. Crisis counseling and supportive, ongoing counseling is provided. The Center can be reached at (814) 455-9414, or at their toll free number of 800-352-7273.
